As per the International Coaching Federation (ICF): “ICF defines coaching as partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential. The process of coaching often unlocks previously untapped sources of imagination, productivity, and leadership.” In other words, coaching focuses on the person to help one achieve their goals.
Consulting services provide expert advice, analysis, and solutions to help individuals or organizations improve performance, solve problems, and achieve their goals.
Mental health therapy, also known as talk therapy or psychotherapy, is a method used by mental health professionals to assess, diagnose, and treat concerns related to emotions, thinking, and behavior patterns. Therapy focuses on the problems. Mental health therapists evaluate and assess patients' mental health, behavior, and situational issues, and ask patients to talk about their thoughts and feelings to formulate and recommend treatment plans. Therapy traditionally has focused on the problems and is slowly starting to focus more on the person.
Coaching and therapy are two distinct approaches to personal development and mental health, each with its unique focus, methodology, and objectives. Here's a comparison of the two:
Coaching
Therapy (Counseling/Psychotherapy)
Key Differences
Objective: Coaching is goal-oriented (improving skills, achieving goals), while therapy is healing-oriented (resolving emotional issues, treating mental disorders).
Method: Coaching is more structured and directive, whereas therapy is often explorative and reflective.
Client Requirement: Coaching clients are generally looking for growth in specific areas, while therapy clients seek healing and understanding of their psychological state.
In summary, coaching is more about building and developing aspects of one’s life, while therapy tends to focus on healing and resolving issues from one’s past or current mental health challenges. Both have their place in supporting an individual’s growth and well-being.
Coaching and consulting are professional services that aim to support individuals or organizations in achieving their goals and improving performance. However, there are some key differences between the two:
It’s important to note that coaching and consulting can overlap in certain situations, and some professionals may offer both services. The choice between coaching and consulting depends on the nature of the challenge, the desired outcome, and the preferred approach to support and guidance.

Unfortunately, we cannot provide therapy services to residents outside of the states our therapist is licensed in. However, we offer coaching services to those living outside these states. While it is not the same as therapy, it has been shown to help just as effectively in many situations. We won’t be able to diagnose or provide a superbill for your insurance company if you choose this option, but you’ll still receive the same high-quality services through coaching as you would with therapy.

The short answer is because of our unique skillsets and the ongoing training our coaches are required to take.
We have one of the very few consultants not only having earned an MBA but who is also trained in the mental health field, worked with substance abusers/addicts and behavioral addicts, worked in the medical field (line medic in the Army), having seen combat and knew incredible stressors. This three-pronged skillset (coaching, mental health, and medical) helps provide a more holistic approach to your consulting needs.
We ask that you provide a minimum of 24-hour notice for any cancellations. Missing your appointment will result in the forfeiture of your payment.
Mind Aligned, LLC, and its consultant cannot take over a business and make changes. Nor can we guarantee success. Some companies are too far gone to save, just like some people on the battlefield are too far gone to save. What we will do is provide business owners with tools that may be able to help them save their businesses. Success is not guaranteed, but nothing is guaranteed except death and taxes. Wouldn’t you rather keep fighting with new tools to save your business over watching it expire?
Our coach has undergone extensive training and supervision to achieve his Level 2 designation, formerly known as the Professional Certified Coach (PCC), from the International Coaching Federation. This is the second-highest certification offered by the world’s most well-known and respected coaching organization.
We do not offer a refund for our services. All sales are final.
This is a common question we hear. It really depends on what your goal is you’d like to achieve. Individual sessions are designed to provide short-term coaching support or check-ins. These can be used at any time within one year of your purchase date. If you need more intensive support, this is where a coaching program would benefit you.
Aligning your thoughts and actions is only the beginning. Our services will also provide inspiration through coaching, consulting, or therapy services.
